Vertical Privacy Shade Net for Fence & Balcony - 7 Colors
Regular price
$53.99 USD
Description
A solid fence panel blocks the view but also closes in the space and traps stale air. This vertical mesh hangs along the same fence or pergola post line and breaks the sightline without any of those drawbacks. Light still passes through, breeze still moves, and the patio still feels open from the inside.

Pick this if
Your patio is overlooked by neighbours or street traffic and a solid panel would close the space in. The mesh gives you the sightline break with none of the boxed-in feeling.
Common questions
How private is the screen? From a few metres away the mesh reads as solid. Closer up it remains semi-transparent, enough to deter casual sightlines without darkening the space.
Will it move in the wind? Lightly. Securing at four to six anchor points along the top and one or two at the bottom keeps it taut without going rigid.

Questions we get asked the most.
How do I know which size to order?
Measure the length and width of your pergola or patio. Add 4 inches on each side for attachment. When you're between two sizes, go bigger, a net that's too small won't stretch, but one that's slightly oversized folds easily along the edges.
Will it actually hold up in the wind?
Yes. Standard canopies act like a sail, they catch wind and flip. Camouflage netting lets air pass through the mesh, so wind load is nearly zero. For exposed areas like coastal zones or open lots, we recommend our steel-cable reinforced net.
Can I install it myself without hiring anyone?
Yes. Most customers install their net solo in under an hour over an existing pergola. Ratchet cords on the four corners, clamps along the perimeter, that's it. Our 304 stainless steel hardware kit includes everything you need.
How long will the net last?
A properly installed and stored net lasts 3 to 5 years. The UV-resistant treatment keeps color from fading even after multiple summers in direct sun. To maximize lifespan, store it dry in a breathable bag away from moisture between October and April.
What can I attach it to?
Any solid existing structure. Wood beams, aluminum posts, stone walls, metal railings. Ratchet cords work for posts and railings with no drilling required. For permanent wall mounting, use our stainless steel hardware kit. Our sizing and mounting guide covers every setup.
